The other night on a run I got a very interesting surprise. A small hail(or maybe sleet?) storm. Lets keep in mind here we are in New Jersey, so we are not talking golf ball sized pieces of ice. More like like little pebble sized pieces of ice.
During the run I heard stuff hitting my shell(water resistant) jacket and thought "oh great, rain" but then I started feeling some stinging on my face and then it realized it was not just raining, but it was sleeting as well. This was kind of nice since I was wearing a hood and it did not get wet.
Hmmmmm so probably the most interesting thing about the sleet was catching some in my mouth. Guess what it taste like........ Okay I'l tell you, Ice. On this run the ice on the ground was not especially slippery, I guess because the ice melted as soon as it hit the ground. because I was excited about having run in the adverse elements. It was pretty cool.
