This was the largest expo I have seen at this race, which is cool because this is New Jersey's Marathon and it should have a great expo. Also, the expo and race start, take place at the Monmouth Race Track. For those of you that don't know, Monmouth Race Track is a horse racing track, it is a really cool venue.
I would say most people at the starting line were talking about the rain that was on it's way to the Jersey Shore. We were not sure what time it would be coming but we were all pretty sure it would be during the race. Of course, it did start to mist at the start of the race.
Then the race was off.
The rain did not really start to come down until about 2 hours into the race. But I, like most of the other runners continued to press on. It was really cool to see how many people came out to the race to cheer on runners despite the rain, wind and cold weather.
After the race I got my medal and then looked for dry clothes. The roughest part of the race for me was the end because it was still cold and rainy but I wasn't running anymore to keep me warm. That didn't last too long so it was all good. After the race a bunch of Pacers Princeton group runners and co-workers from the store met up at the restaurant at the finish to have lunch and talk about the race.
