First my mom drove me a Co-worker from Pacer Princeton and a few Princeton runners up to Staten Island for the start. It was great I was able to walk right in through security and into my starting corral.
After waiting for a few minutes we were walked up to the start line. After the national anthem and a few speakers we were off. I got a glimpse of Meb run past at the start. Going over the Verrazano Bridge was cool because you could see the NYC skyline and there were like 6 helicopters flying overhead, awesome.
I would definitely recommend this race. Especially because the next day all the finishers names were in the NY Times!
