Whether you want to blame running slower on snow or ice, or just not liking the cold out there, weather has a lot to do with your running performance. For me this sudden influx of warm weather has been making me want to pick up the pace. Call it getting ready for my next race or just liking the weather, who knows. I do know that I am happy to be running faster.
Winter running has some very strong and apparent effects. Especially if you are not dressed appropriatly for the weather. There are all types of weather related injuries that can sideline your running. One of the many effects for me while running in the winter/cold weather is running slower.
It would be nice to see my running pace drop as the temperature goes up. If not it is always nice to not be wearing all of those layers. In the end any run is a good run warm or cold.
This sites main job is to keep you informed about running through shoe, product and race reviews.
