The workout was primarily a 400m repeat workout. I won't get to specific into the whole workout, I don't want other teams getting a competitive advantage. But it was enough repeats to wake my legs up a bit.
The workout was interesting because I haven't been timed on a track in a while. Knowing the times of my repeats was fascinating or should I say, disappointing. LOL just joking, my race pace was right about where it was supposed to be. It was good to get a handle on the repeat times I was running.
I really liked the workout and am looking forward to the next track workout. It was fun taking the turn fast. Most my visits to the track are nighttime winter runs. So, picking up the pace a bit was nice.
One thing that stuck out was how easy it was to use my Garmin 630 GPS watch to do spits. Well, the first split wasn't because I hit the wrong button. After that lap though, I didn't have any issues.
There was another guy using the track while I was out there. He was a football player at the high school a few years ago. I guess he was on spring break. He was doing a workout where he carried a tire around the track. Idk I thought it was an interesting part of the days workout, so I added that in.
